The definition of " first lady " is a prestigious title entitled the wife of the head of the State concerned .

Definicja  „Pierwsza dama”  jest prestiżowym  tytułem  przysługującej  żonie  głowy danego państwa.

In contrast, when the head of state is a woman , her husband has the title of " first gentleman " (applicable only in republican)

Natomiast gdy głową państwa jest kobieta , jej mąż ma tytuł  „Pierwszego  dżentelmena” (stosuje się jedynie w ustroju republikańskim)

Functions of the First lady in some countries is different.

Funkcje Pierwszej damy  w  niektórych krajach jest inna.

The hostess of the White House in Washington . She is the wife or partner, the incumbent President of the United States .

Gospodyni Białego Domu w Waszyngtonie. Jest żoną lub partnerką  urzędującego prezydenta Stanów Zjednoczonych.

The first lady fully representational and ceremonial duties . Receiving official guests first lady fully honors your house of the head of state with a spouse present as a pair of hosts. When submitting official visits , they are a pair of the main guests. Represents Country and her husband on official social goals of both the president and without it.

Pierwsza dama pełni obowiązki reprezentacyjne i ceremonialne. Przyjmowanie   oficjalnych gości pierwsza dama pełni honory pani domu z głową państwa  z małżonkiem występują jako para gospodarzy . Przy składaniu wizyt oficjalnych są oni parą głównych gości. Reprezentuje Kraj i męża na oficjalnych celach społecznych  zarówno z prezydentem, jak i bez niego.

America's first lady in the White House , not only brings with it particular staff person : Secretariat . Social , chief of staff of the White House , press secretary , boss. Floral decoration and chef . Environment , the office of the first lady is part of the so-called Executive Office of the President.

Pierwsza dama Ameryki  w Białym Domu i nie tylko ma przy sobie specjalny  sztab ludzi : sekretariat ds. socjalnych, szef personelu Białego Domu, sekretarz prasowy, szef ds. dekoracji kwiatowych oraz szef kuchni. Otoczenie , urząd  pierwszej damy jest częścią  tak zwanego  Executive Office of the President.

Ogółem było 46  pierwszych dam Ameryki  .
